PAINTED WARP



The warp has been hand painted using dyes, letting each color pick it’s place. The structures were chosen to work with the colors of the warp. I was inspired to weave a twist on the classic structure: designing my own version of the herringbone and chevron twill.



Below shows part of the process: getting onto the loom and then weaving. I wove on a TC1 loom. 100% cotton warp, copper wire weft. 2010.
